Proposals
Every project starts with a written proposal that sets out the scope, the design fee and the payment schedule. Work starts when you sign it.
Design fee
The design fee is paid in three parts: 40 percent at signing, 40 percent when drawings are approved and 20 percent on install day. The $450 consultation fee is credited against it.
Furniture and finishes
Pieces are ordered only after you approve them in writing and are billed at our trade cost plus 15 percent. Deposits paid to makers cannot be refunded once an order is placed.
Changes
Any change to the agreed scope is written up with its fee before extra work starts.
Cancellation
Either side can end the agreement with written notice. You pay for work completed and for orders already placed.
Insurance
We carry general liability insurance. Contractors you hire directly are responsible for their own work and warranties.

Start with two hours at your house
A designer walks every room with you, measures, listens, and sends written notes the same week. The visit is $450, and it comes off your design fee if we go on to work together.
