Keeping the furniture you already love

Most houses we work on keep about a third of what was already there. How we decide what stays, what gets reupholstered and what goes to a good home.

Restored cane lounge chairs on a vintage rug

Nobody wants a house that looks like it was bought in one weekend. The pieces people already own are usually the reason a room feels like theirs.

We photograph everything first

At the consultation we photograph and measure every piece you might keep, then draw it into the plans alongside anything new.

Good frames get new covers

A well built chair with a tired seat is worth reupholstering. A workroom visit costs far less than a new chair, and the chair keeps its history.

The rest finds a home

What does not stay goes to consignment in town or to a local charity, and we arrange the pickup so it never sits in your garage.

Start with two hours at your house

A designer walks every room with you, measures, listens, and sends written notes the same week. The visit is $450, and it comes off your design fee if we go on to work together.
